Skye has spent her life being the perfect daughter for her prominent, wealthy parents. Jackson wants one thing for Christmas, and her name is Skye. He’s watched her from afar for ages, biding his time, waiting for his chance to give her the kind of pleasure she craves. And this Christmas he’s going to get his way. He’s enlisted his buddy Nick and the two of them are going to give Skye a holiday treat she’ll never forget.

Five Star (*****) Reviews vie Colleen Everly!!

This is always a pleasant find!! Just when you’re feeling like you’ll never get the next book written or your books will never see the light of day, never seen, simply collecting cobwebs as their spark dims in obscurity, an angel comes along and not only reads one of your books but posts a five-star (*****) review!! Here they are, short and sweet with no spoilers. LOL
“Untameable Heat: Kaden’s Reprieve”
5.0 out of 5 stars Kaden, November 14, 2013
This review is from: Untameable Heat: Kaden’s Reprieve (Kindle Edition)
Loved this book, enjoyed the aspect of two souls searching for love and finding it in what was supposed to be a couple days of sex set up by a friend. I felt so sorry for Kaden growing up the way he did.
“Dark Sentinels Book One: Sable”
5.0 out of 5 stars Sable, November 14, 2013
This review is from: Dark Sentinels Book One:Sable (Kindle Edition)
Really liked this book. Just love a good shifter story. I liked that even though he was in wolf form she still didn’t fear him. I also liked how she came to terms with him being a shifter.

Raye's Meaty Cheesy Creole Spaghetti
1Lb. Ground Turkey
1Lb.Turkey Sausage
2 Lb. medium Shrimp
1 - 2 Large Onions (to your taste)
2 Large Bell Peppers
1/2 - 4 oz. jar of Minced Garlic
1/2 pack of Spaghetti (about 1/2 Lb.)
1 Can of Campbell's Cheddar Cheese Soup
1 cup Hot Salsa (more if you like it hotter)
1 jar of Classico Roasted Garlic Alfredo Sauce
1 jar of Spaghetti Sauce w/vegetables ( I like extra sauce so I use 2)
Butt Rub OR Blackened Seasoning

1.Spaghetti texture is key, so take care of that first. Boil spaghetti until it's done but still firm. Remove from heat, drain, separate lightly with fork and let stand in colander uncovered.

2. Slice bell pepper and onion in large pieces and set aside.

3. Place frozen shrimp in covered microwave safe dish, add a few drops of water, and heat for 3 - 4 minutes (in microwave) until light pink.

4. Start browning ground turkey in large skillet while shrimp heats, add sliced bell pepper and onion, and season to taste with Butt Rub OR Blackened Seasoning. Mix and stir occasionally until done.

5. Drain shrimp, remove tails, and add to skillet with ground turkey. Mix thoroughly.

6. Slice turkey sausage into bite-size pieces, DO NOT add water, heat 1 - 2 minutes in microwave.

7. Place turkey sausage, ground turkey mixture, and spaghetti in large stock pot, add minced garlic,  cheddar cheese soup, salsa, alfredo sauce, and spaghetti sauce. Mix well and heat 10 - 15 minutes.

Another Five (*****) Star Review For "Dark Sentinels Book Two: Torin"

I'm a happy author at the moment! Right on the heels of publishing the combination "Dark Sentinels" paperback, "Dark Sentinels One and Two" on the advice of some great friends, I just came across this awesome five star review of "Dark Sentinels Book Two: Torin" from Samantha Woods.

If you haven't started reading the "Dark Sentinels" series yet, I'd love for you to catch up on it by reading the combination paperback (includes books one and two). Right now I'm working on "Dark Sentinels Book Three: Parrish" and "Dark Sentinels Prequel: Syreena." My plan is to release them both early next year. Here's a bit about "Torin," and the review and link of course :-)

“Dark Sentinels Book Two: Torin”

When greedy land developers set their sights on Dark Sentinel land, Torin turns to attorney Stephanie Bates for help, but she’ll need his protection to stay alive long enough to save his land.

Real estate lawyer, Stephanie Bates, has risen to the top of her field through meticulous sacrifice and goal setting. She has no time for distractions – and that includes pets, messy relationships, and loose ends.

Torin DuMont is a forensic scientist who chose the profession to avoid dealing with people as much as possible. Raised by a stepfather who hated him, he’s been forced to live a life of solitude, fueled by anger and distrust. When wolves and shifters start turning up dead, Torin must battle an enemy bent on destroying those he was born to protect. His greatest challenge, however, is Attorney Bates and the surprising effect she has on his heart.

Steph is a Lawyer and Torin needs her help. Torin did not get a message saying their appointment was canceled and did not go about getting a new one the right way. In fact he flat out annoyed Steph to the point that she kicked him out of her office. Thankfully he did not leave right away as she ended up needing his help when she was attacked by three men.

Steph ends up agreeing to work his case but ends up needing his help some more and ends up staying with him. All the while he is trying to fight his attraction to her. He is a sentinel shifter and she is a human. Sure he has heard of Sable being with a human but he can't understand it. But how long can he fight it? Steph too?

Meanwhile there are some big changes for the better in Sable and Akila's releationship although Sable has to leave right away to go help out Torin and his people with some issues. While he is there he can hand out some much needed advise to Torin.

I definitely Loved this book! I highly recommend this series and this book! Dariel Raye is one of these wonderful Authors that are making me a big fan of Shifters!

What Booklovers Are Saying About Paperbacks: On the Verge of Vintage?

Have you ever noticed that whenever we hop on the bandwagon of some new technological frontier, whatever old faithfuls we leave behind become classics? Sought after, valuable, vintage treasures? Well, it seems our beloved paperbacks have become just that. Yes, I’m talking individual books we can feel, smell, and actually have to move our arms to turn the pages.

Much as I appreciate the convenience and sheer ingenuity of our electronic readers, nothing can really take the place of my beloved paperbacks. Recently, a few of my friends suggested that I publish a paperback version of my “Dark Sentinels” series, and I took their advice. I’m working on the full-length “Dark Sentinels Book Three: Parrish,”  but books one and two are both novellas, perfect for a combination paperback. So, I took a bit of a learning leap with Create Space, combined the two, and published “Dark Sentinels One and Two” in paperback. Thank you, Ladies!

Until “Dark Sentinels One and Two” and the “Here, Kitty Kitty” anthology, I hadn’t published a paperback in five years, so I didn’t know what I was missing. When my first shipment came, I opened the box, eager to see and feel the books, then held one of these fascinating creations to my breast. I know – sounds dramatic, but it’s true. I understood in that moment that like dystopian sci-fi movies where humans are no longer allowed to feel, I’d allowed myself to become desensitized to the wonder of touching, holding, even smelling a paperback.

I asked my street team, Raye’s Ravers, to share their thoughts about paperbacks. Notice how certain themes keep recurring. There’s something nostalgic and intimate about the feel, smell, and actually turning pages of a paperback. No matter how much we love our electronic readers, I think paperbacks are here to stay; so much so, that I recently started a new Facebook group for readers and authors of romance paperbacks called Romance Paperback Lovers. Join us there if you love them too. Here are some of the Ravers’ thoughts:

Colleen – “I think it's the smell of the book. I for one love the smell of them. I love the convenience if my kindle but like I said the smell is the best.”

Donna R - "For me I love my kindle but I will never stop reading paperbacks. The feel, the smell, it's just something I could never give up all the way, and then if your lucky enough to get your favorite books signed, that is the best; curl up and read an amazing book signed by an amazing author.""

Shellie - "I love my paperbacks. I can have them signed by my authors and i can keep them on my shelf and read and admire them everyday. I have about 200 books that i have signed by the authors. I met so many at an RT convention in KS in may. And then all of my aithor friends that i have met on here. I have of those books signed by their authors as well"

Donna S - "For me.. having a book is the same as any book.. but if I have a book that is signed by an author, then that's like a treasure to me.. I enjoy reading but once I have a signed book. I don't let anyone touch them but me.."

Samantha - "Yes I agree you can't beat the smell of an actual book... but I like to take nice hot baths and read and it's so much better to take an actual book then take the risk of ruining my kindle. lol. Also some books you can't find in ebook format... I have one book I read constantly but I cannot find it in ebook format.. I would seriously be lost without my actual books..."

Amy - "Obviously the smell of a book is awesome. Its like a high for a book nerd, lol. I usually get ebooks now cause they are cheaper, but if there is a book I really like with an awesome cover and book spine to show off on my book shelf than its a must buy as a paperback! Plus I love to win signed paperbacks!"

Tanya - "its the feel in my hands the actual turning of the pages the smell and if its signed that just makes it a special treasure."

Kathleen - "I too love the smell, feel and look of a book. I have all the tech versions to read, but the book is my first love."

Donna D - "I know we now have the ease of ebooks however having a real book there is nothing like it. If you ended up having no power for an extended period you can still grab a book for entertainment and comfort."

Jacklynn - "I always love having a book in my hand read!!! I do have a lot ebooks which is great for my hubby cause as of right now he only needs make me two new book cases!!!!"

Heather - "Just the feel of a good book"

Susan - "I adore the smell and feel of a book."
