INTRO

Kayelle Allen's writing brand is unstoppable heroes, uncompromising love, and unforgettable passion. To that end, here is character Luc Saint-Cyr's point of view on what makes an unforgettable lover. Since he's immortal, he has a unique perspective on the concept.

About Forbid My Heart
Waking in the middle of the night, Izzorah begins to worry. His lover has pledged to take him back to visit his homeworld, but Izzorah knows the fact that they're gay could cause their death if the Kin Pride Council hears about it. His heart tells him to trust Luc, but Izzorah's fear is real. He snuggles up to Luc, seeking comfort.
Luc is immortal. He has the perspective to understand his lover's concerns and not worry about them. To distract Izzorah, Luc tries a sexy game of dominance and submission played during their shared shower. Izzorah's unreserved trust and respect make Luc long to wipe out any shadow of trouble or sorrow. He would turn the Kin homeworld upside down to protect him, but convincing Izzorah he can do it will mean confessing a truth Luc is not yet ready to share.
Luc and Rah must learn: where the heart leads -- follow.

An Unforgettable Lover -- by Luc Saint-Cyr
What makes a lover unforgettable? When you've lived as long as I have, being memorable doesn't come down to skill. I've had skilled lovers. Skill is common. Now, don't get me wrong. The ability to provide a lover with soaring orgasms is great, and it's something I appreciate. But to me, what makes a lover memorable is vulnerability. Openness. Willingness to please. Willingness to take what you give.

It's not necessarily submission. I've been dominated by other alphas. Given myself to other lovers. Do I prefer to top? Hell, yes. But I can get as well as I can give. If you don't know how to take what you give out, how good a top are you?

I'll tell you who is unforgettable. I can think of three. Considering I've lived twelve thousand years, that's a damn low number. My first lover comes to mind. She was immortal, like me. We were in basic training together, paired up for an obstacle course. I misread a map, bungled handling my weapon, and got us pinned down by enemy fire. We were both killed. Fortunately for us, a few hours for our bodies to heal themselves, and we were back. I woke up on the recovery room floor, with her leaning over me, asking if I was all right. I tried to apologize for the foul up, but she wouldn't accept that. Instead, she said I could make up for it by showing her what it meant to feel pleasure.

We were virgins, clumsy with our moves, and on the floor amidst the bodies of our comrades. You'd think if anything would put a person off having sex, that would do it. But we Sempervians are a randy lot. Turns out being reborn means everything comes alive at once. I wanted her. She wanted me. It was awkward, and we ended up laughing at ourselves as we tried to peel off our ruined uniforms. We never paired up again, but that incident has stuck with me all my life. Why? Because we were both vulnerable and open to the other's needs. It was the first time I'd experienced that type of intimacy with another person. Not the sex. The intimacy. There's a difference.

Much as I hate to admit it, until recently, there were only two truly "unforgettable" lovers in my life, and the second one is also the person I hate more than I've ever hated anyone. Just goes to show you that love is not always the key to being memorable. Pietas, the immortal who rules our kind has his own reasons for being unforgettable. He can allow himself to be vulnerable, and has. At least with me. But for the most part, my king sticks in my memories for his domineering nature. Pietas was never content with simply having sex. He wanted to possess his lovers, dominate them, and demand capitulation.
Talk about skilled! He could wring every drop of pleasure from the body -- or every bit of pain. If he took you to his bed, you could never forget the experience. Try as I might, the pleasures he could impart have stuck in my memory to the point I find myself comparing every other lover to him. Better than? Worse than? Almost everyone is worse. Few can be better. Yet I've spent centuries trying to scrub my brain of some of the things he did to me and wanted done to him.
Until Izzorah Ceeow.
Izzorah, whom I call Rah (which means "passion" in my native tongue) has supplanted every memory of other lovers. Why? It's not his skill. Izzorah was a virgin when I met him. He doesn't seek to dominate, though he can be demanding in bed. But when it comes to being vulnerable, to be being open, to being willing... Izzorah tops the list. In the scene below, I've just realized that Izzorah had been withholding a fear, not telling me that he needed something because he thought it would hurt me. I'll let you see for yourself why I love him so.

Excerpt from Forbid My Heart:
"On top of that, you were afraid to tell me."
"I didn't know how to tell you." If Izzorah moved any closer, held on any tighter, he'd be inside Luc's skin with him. "My honor demands I obey you. My heart loves you. My thoughts long for home. Every part of me fears losing you."
Luc soaked up their closeness and the unfettered trust his lover showed. In all the centuries Luc had lived, no one had ever offered such unselfish love. From the moment they'd met, Izzorah had sought to comfort and honor him. Being immortal meant watching lovers die, but with Izzorah, for the first time, Luc didn't have to face that anguish. Telling Rah that he too was immortal would not be easy, nor would explaining the danger he faced as one of Luc's kind; Sempervians hid what they were for good reasons.

Two more books featuring Luc and Rah are in progress. Click here to sign up for one email when a book is released.

Lover, Divine (Mythos: Gods & Lovers #1)

Blurb
For fans of the Oracle of Delphi series...and for those who aren't...

Born into one of the wealthiest families in Ireland, Siobhan Law has status, privilege, and a secret: The Greek gods of Olympus and their kingdom in the clouds are real, and her family acts as one of their agents on Earth.

When the beautiful immortal celeste Liam Argyros shows up claiming to have come to Earth to deal in the affairs of the divine, Siobhan finds herself unable to resist his charms. New to the game of passion and seduction, she quickly ends up in over her head, sinking deeper with every attempt Liam makes to win her over.

But Liam’s divine mission is far more complex than she ever imagined and nothing is truly as it seems. Because Liam has a secret of his own: He is Apollo, Olympian god of the Sun, and his mission will never be complete until he has claimed Siobhan’s heart forever.

Character: Siobhan Law

Unforgettable Lover

You might say I'm crazy to be in love with a Greek god. You would be right.

I am crazy in love with Apollo. I'm mad for his touch. I'm insane for his kiss. And I go completely out of my mind every time that he fucks me.

The Fates knew exactly what they were doing when they wove my string. Combining passion, loyalty, and blood, they doomed me from birth. I was born to be his. I will die being his possession. And I don't care. He is the only man I'll ever want.

I love him because he is sacrificing it all for me. Greek gods don't love only one woman. He only loves me. I am mortal and pathetic, but still, he loves me. Still, he wants me. When he kisses me I feel his desire to claim me forever. And he has, and it's more than just the feel of his cock inside of me that makes it so.

I am crazy in love with Apollo. I'm mad for his touch. I'm insane for his kiss. And one day, I will go completely out of my mind for the sake of a love too great.

Sexy Excerpt:
In an instant, Apollo was kneeling in front of me, trapping me in the chair. His hands slipped under my skirt and glided up toward my hips. “Nice,” he said as his fingers grazed over my lacy knickers. I heard a ripping sound. “Now take them off.”

I just stared at him in disbelief. Was he really about to force himself on me?
He chuckled. “I would never force myself on you, Siobhan. But if you won’t let me make love to you, then I’ll have to settle for the alternative.”
“Apollo...” I breathed, figuring out rather quickly what the alternative was.
He only smiled as he tossed the useless lace aside. He pushed my black skirt up and I lifted my hips without being asked. When I lowered them again, I was sitting bare bottom in the cool, leather chair.

Apollo gripped me behind the thighs and jerked me forward. Spreading my legs, he draped each of them over the arms of the chair and sat back on his heels to look at me. My face burned at being exposed to him like this, but I didn’t close my legs or try to cover myself. I just sat there while he got his fill.
“Beautiful...” he murmured. I gasped when he ran his finger down my slit and then pushed it into me.

Thank you for hosting me today, Dariel. Luc loves to talk -- so it was a treat for both of us. :) He's eager for me to finish the next book in his series, and so is Izzorah. Those two keep me up at night. LOL

Wow! Hot! Both books seem unforgettable. I love fantasy and mythology and hot men, of course.

Thanks Rachelle. Me too! Dariel is going to burn up the internet this month with this concept. :)

Hey, Ladies :-) Both of your books look hot enough to draw ANY romance reader! I love the concepts, and of course, the hot men don't hurt either. LOL

Hot men are always a draw. I enjoy a good story along with the heat too. Not interested in PWP stories (plot? what plot?) and always try to have strong conflicts for my characters to deal with. I know PWP stories have their own enthusiastic audience, but it's not what I like to read, or write. Which was one reason I jumped on the chance to post here. It let my hero Luc show your readers what he's made of. :)

Very true, Kayelle. I'm the same way. it's the plot and characters that draw me in and make me care about a story.
