Today, I'm featuring books and POV characters by Tricia Drammeh, Stephanie Keyes, Harlie Williams, and Lynda Kaye Frazier. Don't forget to leave a comment with your email address. Enjoy!!

Hi, I'm Tricia Drammeh, author of Better than Perfect. I'd like to introduce you to Karlie Smith, the heroine of my story. She has some very definite opinions on love, romance, and what makes an unforgettable lover. Take it away, Karlie...

"I haven't had many boyfriends, but I know the difference between a good boyfriend and an unforgettable one! Some of you might be thinking about what happens in the bedroom, or even about the perfect date. Don't get me wrong - those things are important. But, for me, an unforgettable lover is someone who is considerate, compassionate, and kind. He understands there are times I need to talk without being offered advice. He understands that family and community sometimes come first. He's passionate about all aspects of life, not only about what happens in the bedroom. An unforgettable lover is spontaneous and fun. When plans go awry, he can laugh in the face of disaster and find a way to turn it around. If tragedy strikes, he's there to offer a shoulder to cry on and to pick up the pieces if necessary."

Read more about my unforgettable lover in Better than Perfect:

Twenty-three-year-old Karlie is in the type of rut some people never escape from. With few friends, no boyfriend, and no plans to graduate from college any time in the immediate future, Karlie is as stuck in her ways as the elderly neighbor she spends all her time with.

When her world is invaded by two surly twins bound for criminal court, a too-good-to-be-true love interest, and a cute cop who keeps showing up at the most inopportune moments, Karlie can either fight against the changes in her life, or embrace them.

Excerpt from Better than Perfect

“You seem nervous, Karlie. Why?”

I shrug. “I’m not nervous. Just…”

“Just what?” he asks closing the distance between us and leaning down to kiss my cheek. He kisses my eyelids, my temple, and finally my lips. Stepping closer, he wraps his arms around my waist and deepens the kiss between us, pulling me against his hard body. I can feel the evidence of his desire for me and I nearly come unglued.

His fingers slip through my unbound hair as his mouth moves down to my neck. A gasp escapes my throat when he moves my blouse to the side and gently nibbles my exposed shoulder.

“Karlie, if you want me to stop, tell me now,” he murmurs.

“Don’t stop.” I cling to his shoulders.

Blurb

Magick and destiny intertwine as he fights to save his kingdom and the goddess he loves.

Her kiss…the feel of her skin…the beat of her heart…For seventeen-year-old Kellen St. James, each memory is marred by a single sentence on a lone strip of paper.

Cali has been taken…

However, control of the amulet’s energy comes with a price, and Kellen soon learns that Cali’s captor has plans for the stone. With the threat of the Star Catcher’s evil looming above Kellen and his kingdom, he’ll have to free the Heart of Faerie and break the curse the binds the Children of Danu to the darkness. But before that, he has to find his real father, the king. No pressure, right?

Kellen and Cali will battle bewitched armies and unknown foes as they fight to stay together. Will Kellen embrace his immortal destiny? Or will his world, and the man he is fated to become, be destroyed by The Star Catcher?

Kellen St. James from "The Star Catcher"
What makes a lover unforgettable?
Kellen St. James—For me there’s only ever been Calienta. The way she holds my hand. I know it sounds corny, right? Especially for a guy, but whatever. Bottom line: she holds my hand and my entire body get flooded with this indescribable warmth. I could be frozen, lost forever, and her touch—just one touch from her would bring me back. She’s everything.

Excerpt
With a wave of my hand, I undid the curls and combs in her hair, allowing it to fall straight down her back. I brought my mouth to her neck, more urgently now, inhaling the scent of cinnamon that always followed Cali. Her pulse quickened against my lips. I could  hear its steady beat where my ear rested against the soft column of her throat.

The desire I felt for her was out of control. I’d never wanted anyone this way. Did the amulet have something to do with the intensity of the need, the desire I felt for Cali? Never allowing my lips to stray from hers for long, I slid the amulet out of my pocket, and then placed it on the nightstand. I kissed her again. No, need still writhed within me, utterly unrelated to the magick at my fingertips. I craved her that much.

Blurb:
A woman has one thing on her mind tonight…sex. Dirty, sweaty, kinky sex with a cowboy. With her man gone more than he is at home, she needs the release.
After being away for two weeks, a cowboy goes looking for someone to play with for the night. Being away is part of the job but not having someone to come home to is hurting his soul. Feeling disconnected in his love life, the red head will be perfect.
Once they meet, can one night of pure passion led to more than just a one night stand for either of them? Communication is the key to every relationship. Can these two find a way to connect emotionally or are they destined for heartache.

What makes a lover unforgettable?
What makes my lover so dang hawt and sweet?  Her outlook on life. We met in high school.  Got married right after graduation.  She followed me to college.  Supported me emotional and financially through it all.  Then two boys later, she is still the love of my life.  Her outlook has always been positive.  Sure, she has a regret…she never went to college.  And I agree with that.  We would do it differently if we had the chance?  Nope.  I’d still marry her after graduation but I would support her in going to college.
Physically, she is all I ever wanted.  Red hair and the curtains match the carpet, sizzling green eyes and mouth on her that won’t quit.  She keeps me on my toes and doesn’t let me slack.  As a lover, she is imaginative, thoughtful and can be downright submissive.  Yes, submissive.  But don’t let that fool you.  She is also on the dominant side, too.  We are able to mix it up and I hope that when we are old and gray, we still mix it up.
In all seriousness, she is the most positive person to be around.  It seems like nothing gets her down.  Okay…maybe that one time when I brought home the Harley and didn’t tell her about it beforehand.  But hey, we go to Sturgis every year and have a blast!
The key to our relationship is communication and having date night.  Yes, date night.  With all the traveling that I do, we have to have a night set aside just for us.  No kids, no family, no jobs, just us.
If I could one thing about her is that I wish she wouldn’t bring home the stray animals.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m an Ag Teacher but damn, 5 dogs, 3 cats, a boar hog and a sow is about all I can take anymore.

Excerpt (PG-13 for language)
“What’s a girl like you doing at a bar like this?” he asked.
Her voice was a purr, like a cat well satisfied with its stolen pitcher of cream. “I’m looking for someone special.”
Hoping that she meant him he asked, “Did you find him yet?”
“Maybe.” The glint in her eye told him he was definitely in the running.  However, I’m not looking to hook up with just any old cowboy.  He must be able to go the full eight seconds and come back for more.”  She eyed him from head to toe.  “Think you can handle that?”
Oh, I can most definitely handle you sweetheart.
Not wanting to seem too eager he replied, “I’m not sure but I’m willing to try.”
“Do or do not.  There is no try.”  He struggled not to let his grin escape.  The fact that she was trying to seduce him made his dick twitch.
“Let’s just say I’m looking to burn off some pent up frustration. A little excess energy.  And I’ve got plenty to burn.”
The way she shivered at his words, he knew he almost had her.  He winked as she licked her crimson lips and blew out a small breath.  Damn what this woman is doing to him
He pushed her knees apart with his left leg and was rewarded with the amazing scent of her arousal.  The knowledge she was wet for him had him close to going off in his jeans.
Houston, we have lift-off!
“Why don’t you have a seat cowboy and we’ll talk about it.”
She gasped when he shocked her with a brush of his lips against hers; fighting with everything he had not to deepen the kiss.
Patience, patience.
He would play her game for the moment but sooner or later, she would be his.  Tied up and begging for more.
He asked her, “Now about that eight second ride?”

Snippett
Jason inched closer as her arms tightened around his neck. Her fingers curled into his hair and the warmth shot down his spine.  His hands surrounded her waist and pulled her tight against his chest.  Her nipples hardened against him igniting a flame he fought to bury.  How he ached to touch them, taste them.
“Mercy.” He whispered against her lips as he pulled away. “We shouldn’t.”
He froze as she placed her lips back on his. He pushed her back. He needed her to stop, but her tongue danced along the outline of his mouth and he gave in. The fire burned out of control as it raced through him. He needed to stop. He could not take this risk, not now.
     “No Mercy, we can’t…”
“Please, I need this. I need you.” She closed the gap between them.
He stopped and pulled back, inches from her he whispered against her lips, “Mercy, what’s my name, who am I?”
Jason sensed her hesitation as a shiver passed through her. She dropped her head to his neck and he felt the heat from her tears as they rolled down his shoulder.
He pushed her back and cupped her face in his hands.  Her tears spilled through his fingers as her pain ripped a hole in his chest.
     “Mercy I just…”
“Please don’t, don’t stop. I know you, my heart tells me so.”
The waves of her silent tears ran through him as she wrapped her arms around him and laid her head on his shoulder. He leaned his head into her and strained to hear her whisper.
“I might not remember your name but I know your touch, the way you make me feel.  Love me, and help me remember.”    Their eyes met and he froze as she drew closer, inches from his face.
The touch of her lips sent a shock wave through him and he gave up his struggle and took fiery possession of the love that once was his.
