Dariel's World

Hi. I'm Dariel Raye, an interracial/multi-cultural paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and psy/suspense author, and every day of this journey is a learning experience. I'm also a counselor, musician, and animal lover. My stories are about all-conquering love and romance, and I enjoy hosting other authors as well. Enter a world where werewolves, vampires, multi-shifters, vamp-like Nephilim, Vodouin Fey, and all things paranormal capture our hearts...

Flasher Friday: "Everybody's Talkin' About"

It's great to be back! I've been MIA for a while due to a number of other obligations, mostly writing-related, and this particular inspirational pic brought to mind a full-length I'm working on.

So...as always, my friends and I are jumping off from the same pic as inspiration for 100-word flashes. Hope you enjoy, and take a look at all of our flashes just to see how many different ideas one pic can inspire :-)

Everybody’s Talkin’ About
Sold Out!

“What did I tell you?” Shannon asked, nearly clipping the heels of my flats with her pointed-toed sling-backs.

“Good thing we signed up when we did!”

Glancing at his poster, my mouth went too dry to respond.

We walked past the ticket booth and peeped into the auditorium, and I imagined women’s screams of delight, each one fantasizing, hoping to lure the big-time psychiatrist to her bed, but I knew better.

Leaning against the steel double-door frame, flashbacks crashed in, sparks of excitement dancing a sultry striptease at my core.

Could I bear being so close without touching him again?

For this one I can definitely say there will be a full-length novel. I've already started on it ;-)
