First Time
Never thought I’d return. Memories flood in, waves
of sorrow savaging the shore. What happened in that lighthouse haunts me – my first
time.
We met every Saturday, hanging out all day.
That Saturday his eyes held mine too long, following
my every move, trapped by the contours of my new, high breasts.
I should have stopped him, saved him, but instinct
overtook reason, mine and his.
Our bodies became one, deceiving me with hope until
he withdrew, dark eyes wide, stricken.
Tears slid down my cheeks. I watched as if from some
distance, my sharp tail exiting through his heart.
