BAD MOMMIES Mother's Day Contest Winner

I hope you had a fabulous mother's day. I decided to do something a little different this year to celebrate, so I hosted a bad mommies contest via my newsletter (book club) and Facebook. More about the contest in a moment. I enjoyed spending a little down time with my family, and my mom and I talked about her mom while we celebrated the day. Even though her mother (my grandmother) has passed on, she says the day is a joyous occasion for her because she has so many beautiful memories. She had an exceptional mother who supported and encouraged her to pursue her dreams.

My grandmother moved in with us after my grandfather passed. I was still very young, less than 2-years-old, so I grew up in an extended family. The additional support of having my grandmother in the same household helped shape my perspective, my sense of value, and offered wisdom that only comes with age and experience.  She extended to us the same support and encouragement she showed my mother, and I know that I wouldn't be the same person if it had not been for her love.

That said, not all mothers are shining stars, to say the least. Thus, the bad mommies mother's day contest:
