Feels great to be back with my Flasher Friday friends! Been out a couple weeks getting my new released launched. Today's post takes you back to the beginning of "Celia's Claiming." You'll notice I do that a lot. I often write that way, too - out of order - scenes near the middle or end before writing the beginning :-) The first flash from this story was posted here if you'd like to read it. Just to recap, every Friday, several of us write a post of 100 words max using the same pic. Cool, huh? Hope you enjoy "Celia's Claiming" Part 2, and click on the link below to continue reading more flashes written by my friends. Here's our inspirational pic for this week...

"Celia's Claiming" Pt. 2
Celia rose from the murky depths,
temporary appendages humming with newborn energy. I tire of this, but know no alternative.
She sighed, caressing her curves,
fingering the soft dark curls at the apex between her supple limbs, and climbed
onto the nearest rock far from the shore.
Conjuring a handheld mirror, she
assessed her youthful features. Unfortunately, they, too, would be as temporary
as her limbs if she disobeyed the fey god.
She slipped from the rock and began
her customary swim to shore, wondering who her conquest would be this time. Someone
evil, she hoped, or were they all evil.
